Most people associate the term "coach" with sports. Coaching is also a concept that birth
professionals and women are frequently familiar with related to childbirth. That is why I have nick-
named myself "midwife of changes".
A positive psychology life coach is in a similar role to these other coaches, but he/she asks the
client empowering questions about life choices that will help guide the person (or team) to
success. I will also share with you the latest research on human optimal functioning, as it relates
to the choices you are making. As an advanced practice nurse, I can expand this approach to help
people make positive and informed health choices. In fact, choices that make us healthier often
make us happier and visa versa!
When people become happier, healthier and more resilient with these methods, they are also
better able to build their support systems and other resources. These same approaches help
businesses and teams to flourish!
